AssetWorks ReADY Space Implementation

Texas State University is pleased to announce the launch of AssetWorks ReADY Space—a new, campus-wide space management system designed to help us efficiently capture, maintain, and utilize data about our facilities. This platform will support better space planning, optimize allocation, and ensure our data is accurate for strategic decision-making and compliance.

What does this mean for your department?

Action

Each department or school must designate a "proctor" or space survey administrator responsible for completing ReADY Space surveys for all rooms under your purview. This assignee should have detailed knowledge of your areas or be able to access that information. As part of the initial ReADY Space launch steps, an email will be issued to request space survey administrator information.

Training

The Office of University Space Management and Facilities Support Services will provide required training sessions for all space survey administrators. Please ensure your delegate participates fully; training details and schedules will follow.

Accountability

As department head, chair, or director, you retain ultimate responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of your portion of the space survey, even if you appoint another staff or faculty member to fulfill the task on your behalf. Your active oversight and support are essential.

Timeline & Next Steps

  1. Reply to the Survey Proctor email with the name and contact information of your designated proctor/admin within five business days.
  2. Ensure that the appropriate person attends the required training (details to follow).
  3. Oversee the progress and timely completion of your department’s space survey in ReADY Space.

Benefits to Your Department and the University

  • Reliable, up-to-date space data supports fair resource allocation and planning.
  • Improved facilities management and compliance with federal and state requirements.
  • Streamlined processes to reduce administrative burden in future reporting cycles.
